America’s Got Talent
You may have heard of Chase Goehring back in 2017 when he auditioned for America’s Got Talent, eventually getting the Golden Buzzer from DJ Khaled who told him that he’s going to be a superstar. This wasn’t his first time on television, though. The 21-year-old had also been on X-Factor with judge Simon Cowell several years earlier.
While on the show, he worked with the producers to figure out which songs would be best for him to perform. The song would have to be rearranged to fit within the timeframe they were given.
Music
Chase released an EP titled Crimson in December 2019. It included five songs that covered topics like breakups, self-image issues, and the steppingstones of life.
During the course of the interview, we talked about a number of things. Goehring’s detailed how his parents wanted him to try everything. He did everything from play sports to play the piano.
Since his parents made him take piano lessons, he used those skills to make his way into a band with some of his friends who were looking for a keyboard player. It was during this time that he realized he liked performing, although they only performed twice for a birthday party from the same person’s garage.
If you want to learn how to play an instrument, the Crimson singer says to just get on YouTube and start watching videos. You can go the classical way where you learn sheet music, or “tabs,” as he was taught, or chords. He said, “You just have find what you’re passionate about. I feel like you can learn an instrument. Anybody can learn an instrument. I can literally teach you how to play something right now, like easy. I can guarantee it. How far you take it is the unique thing and you have to want to learn it.”
Inspirations/Puppy
Some of the other things that we talked about were his inspirations, record deals, and his new puppy – as well as his old. Make sure to watch the interview to learn what kind of puppy he has no, what the name of his old dog was, and how long he had him! Steve Irwin was also a topic that was discussed briefly, too!
In 2019, he was busy making his EP so he didn’t get much touring in and there aren’t any tours set in 2020 at this time since we’re in the midst of the Coronavirus. Check his social media accounts and website for future tour dates.
