A Night With LANCO

On December 6th, I had an opportunity to see LANCO in concert for their first headlining tour at the Buckhead Theatre.

The band consists of five members.  Brandon Lancaster is the lead singer, Chandler Baldwin plays the bass guitar, Jared Hampton is on keys, Tripp Howell performs on the drums, and Eric Steedly plays the guitar.

While I was watching the guys play, I realized that Eric played bone-chilling guitar solos. During their set, he would sway back and forth while playing giving fans an even better experience.

Brandon had mentioned that 3 of the guys were from Georgia, so it was a big deal to them because it was their home state. Together they come from Georgia, Kentucky, and Tennessee. He also said that they’re just a good group of friends that tour together.

Throughout the night, LANCO kept the crowd engaged with them. Nobody really left the room while they were playing, and  if somebody did, they were right back to their spot within a minute.

About the middle way through the concert, the Greatest Love Story singer went into the crowd and sang a cover of Springsteen by Eric Church and Free Falling by the late Tom Petty and everybody was ecstatic that he was in the crowd! While they were on stage, they played Mr. Brightside by The Killers and got the crowd belting out the lyrics. Brandon stopped singing and let the crowd have their moment.

They played Born to Love You and after they finished the song, they walked off stage. Maybe 30 seconds later, they ran back on stage and completed an encore! They sang Greatest Love Story to end the night, and then took a bow at the end. Tripp even threw his drumsticks into the crowd as a souvenir.

It was a great concert and I would see them again because of the energy they bring to the table! They make people want to dance, and that’s always a good thing at a concert. If you ever get a chance, you should too.

Here’s the music video to their song, Greatest Love Song. You can follow them on FacebookInstagram,  and Twitter. You can follow me on Facebook and Instagram. Make sure to like my magazine too!
